Ways and Means

Most of us are able to get our basic needs without even having to wonder how they come about. And in the modern world today where there are advanced technologies and the rising standard of living, people have taken these basic needs for granted. Just like in many parts of the world, people here in Germany also struggle to survive. Though there are some government support for the poor, they also tried their best to earn a living to cope up with the complexities of life.




Some also tried to beg alms in the street just to survive. Survival is really the name of the game in this modern world.


As what Benjamin Franklin said, a penny saved is a penny earned. The road to comfortable living is through saving, not spending and not borrowing. We should not spend to impress others and we should not live life trying to fool ourselves into thinking wealth is measured in material objects. We should live well within our means and always prepare for a rainy day.
