From Europe To Asia

I'm really a jetsetter, i did travel in two continents in one day. First, i go to Paris and then to bali, indonesia. What i'm talking about is the chateaux de paris, the bali and tokyo mansions of southforbes. Cathay land come up with a house theme from spain, tokyo, bangkok, miami, and paris.

Our next stop is the bali mansion pool where dirk, anthony and two of my grandsons enjoy the pool.

Pool Hopping

Today, we visited the school where i teach eight years ago. Dirk is going to be the resource speaker next week so he wanted to be sure that the beamer and computer works. We also visit the construction site and the workers are now preparing the second layer of the wall.

Its very hot today, the temperature reach 36 degrees and the best way to refresh is the swimming pool. Our clubhouse pool is full so we decided to use the tokyo mansion pool, but dirk is not satisfied because its not deep enough so we transfer to bali mansion.

Its quite deserted but dirk said the water is wonderful. He had the swimming pool all by himself unlike in the villa where there are lots of kids using the pool.

A funny Day

It's my gym day so i spend one hour in the treadmill while dirk and bryan plays golf. Our lunch is at shakeys again after their round of golf. We then decided to drive to SM Santa Rosa for dirks massage & haircut. I also have my last session of facial at skin 101.

Dirk's slipper is already kaputt so we bring it to mr. quickie for repair. He was given a temporary rubber slipper while waiting. He dont want to wear both pair so he had a different set of slipper while walking around SM. Some of the mallers were surprised that a big german guy is wearing a different set of slipper, so if someone look at his foot, i just explain that his other pair is at mr. quickie, the funny thing is that i have to repeat the reason all over and over again.

With regards to the construction of our house, its now visible the first floor walls, slowly there are already four corners. It took two months for the workers to finish the foundation because of the different embedded cables and pipes including the one for water and aircon. It's pure concrete construction and no hollow blocks. Its an insulated wall with thermomass and styrofoam inside.

Its a very stable house that when its finish there will be more than 500 tons of cement used. Our workers said that its their first time to build such house. For philippine construction its the wall first and last is the flooring, but for us its the other way around.

My Daughter's Wedding

Today, arianne wed her longtime boyfriend Joseph in a civil ceremony. The marriage vows was held at the office of the municipal judge of muntinlupa. Only the family members attended the rites and reception followed at Max Restaurant.




We then proceed to arianne's house where another reception was being held for neighbors, relatives and friends. Her colleague, manager and the supervisor of mercury drug are among her guests.


We then decided to bring the kids to southforbes swimming pool. Kids really like to play in water and its very hard to convince them to get out of the water when its time to go.



To both of you, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I'm praying for the success of your married life and God bless.

By the way, my youngest daughter astrid also got her drivers license today.

Chinese New Year at the Mall

Yesterday, we celebrated the chinese new year at festival mall together with my daughter rosebelle and her son kim. But before that, we visited first the construction site where the workers are pouring the ready mix concrete on the first floor walls. Dirk had to monitor and check everything and so far he is satisfied with the work of our contractor.



We have a late lunch at super bowl, a chinese restaurant located along the commerce parking. We then drive at wilcon home depot to buy the stuff for our sliding door.

We also buy some german foods at säntis delicatessen as suggested by heinz. The store offers european foods and wine. We really dont miss germany at all, but dirk had to work.

A Visit to a German Family

Heinz, a successful businessman invited us to visit his place at carmona, cavite. But before going to his house we decided to take a look at eagle ridge golf course in general trias, also in cavite. Its a big golf course and there are lots of korean players. We browsed around the area and its a big surprise for us the slow development of the housing project around the golf course.


We also visit the beautiful Our Lady of Guadalupe Church before proceeding to heinz place.

Heinz family live in a cozy subdivision where fence and gates are not allowed. They have 3 drivers and two househelpers. His nice wife connie, a filipina prepared a very delicious potato, vegetable salad and german sausage. The ambience is really deutschlich only its in a warm country, so we have the best of both worlds.

Bonding with my Boys and Friends

Yesterday, i'm really not feeling well because of a suspected salmonella virus that attacked my stomach. Maybe because of the american peanut butter that i ate with a local bread. I got headache, stomach cramps, LBM and throwing up. Thank God, the antibiotics and antacids helps a lot. It's also my gym day so i just use the treadmill and did not join the belly dancing exercise.

In the evening, me and my former co-instructors at SLAC had a happy reunion. I'm really very happy to see them again after eight years. It's a night of laughter and reminiscing our happy days together.

Today, my three boys and my daughter in law had a driving lessons with dirk. While they are driving around, my grandchildren argie and lucky are enjoying the pool. We were surprised that my youngest son JR drives better than his older brother.


We also visit the Tokyo Mansion of Southforbes where there is an on-going open house and clubhouse inauguration.


This tokyo mansion is really an aattraction, a tv series of marian rivera and dingdong dantes was shot there.

Body and Skin Trends

Wednesday is our physical fitness day. While dirk and bryan plays golf, lucy and me are exploring again the different machines in the VIP gym at humana wellness center. Before i'm already satisfied with my morning exercise at home, now i'm using the gym which is more appropriate.

The trainers are there to guide us on how to use each machines. As a beginner, i just use the treadmill, gym bikes and others that i dont know the name. While others are doing some aerobics and other floor exercises, i'm just watching them while running on the treadmill.

After our gym session, its now time for pampering. This time we tried the skin trends owned by a nice lady, Dr. Joy. I'm just watching lucy having an arm diamond peel and manicure. Not that i can't afford the price of the skin treatment, i believe that i still dont need it and besides i have a natural flawless skin. I just have my fingernails done and just contented watching the activities around skin trends.
