Maria Clara a.k.a. Reta Ria

Our Guam adventure becomes meaningful and memorable because of a very dear friend Maria Clara or with her nickname Maric and facebook name Reta Ria. We became FB friends because of my cousin Margie who happened to be the classmate of Maric during their high school days. She graduated Valedictorian at Sibuyan Colleges and we did finished our college at Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). Because of her intelligence, she is a Certified Public Accountant and works at DOLE and DPWH before landing a job in Guam. She is a single mom just like me and i'm amazed how humble she is considering her achievements and status in Guam. We experienced the same journeys and i'm really very happy seeing her after 38 years. We might be related to each other because our grandmothers have the same family name. She really remained grounded all these years, very generous, a good mom, gracious lola and words are not enough to describe her goodness. I will be forever grateful to her for sharing her precious time to us while in Guam. She toured us around the island and the chocolate factory in which she is the accountant, lunch/dinner at 5 star hotels (Sheraton and Hyatt Regency Guam), welcome us in her cozy home, treat us for a nightlife and most of all the one box of macademia chocolates and her precious gifts which i will treasure forever. I might not be able to repay her generosity but i know God will return all his kindness a thousand folds.
