Together with the homeowners of Southforbes Villas, we visited the Chosen Children Foundation in Silang, Cavite yesterday. Our visit is not only to give our monetary donation and their other needs but to share a piece of our precious time, love and caring for others who are in need. The village is a safe haven, a home for life, for abandoned, neglected and surrendered children who are physically and mentally challenged. It is maintained solely through donations, sponsorships and grants. I have done some charity works before but this one is more meaningful because being a mother, my heart melts to these children who deserved a loving home, a place in the society, and to be cared by people who will love them with a mother's instinct.
Our activity started by attending the mass together with the functional children and the founder of the Chosen Children foundation. We were then given a brief introduction about the foundation and visited their facilities. After the tiring day warming the hearts and souls of those children, we then treated ourselves of a sumptuous lunch at Gilligans. We also bought fruits and native delicacies at Good Shepherd and Rowena's in Tagaytay.
Our day was completed with a light snacks at Vic and Imee's very nice house.
