My Suman Experiment
A traditional Filipino snack, suman is a coconut-flavored sweet sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves. It's a part of my childhood because my mother used to prepare a lot of suman and instead of malagkit, its cassava. We have a small canteen and we sell those suman to workers, neighbors and students because our house in manila is just in front of a school. My mother is long gone to heaven so we got our suman supply from the market. Nobody want to make it maybe because its time consuming and buying cooked suman is more practical. It's snowing today so i was just a stay-at-home blogger. My idea to prepare suman came to my mind when i saw banana leaves inside the freezer. Thus began my suman experiment. Just look at the picture on how i make suman out of sticky rice with coconut milk. I'm proud of my cooking only i forgot to put some salt, next time it will be perfect.
