Lalaine's Birthday

Yesterday is the hottest day here in Germany. The temperature reached almost 40 grad but the humid weather didn't stop us from attending the birthday celebration of a good friend, Lalaine. Normally, in that kind of weather, i just stay home and enjoy the four corners of the house watching filipino movies rather than staying outside. I have sun allergy and the strong heat makes my head bumpy.

As usual, her relatives and our common friends attended her swimming party.

The kids and other guests enjoyed the pool very much.

Of course, the men in the girls' lives were there too!

LP- Merienda (Snack)

(good appetite)

Family Friend from Limburg

Yesterday, the couple Klaus and Bebel Lützig minus their children visited us. They are friends of Dirk for more than 20 years. Klaus and dirk worked at markant Offenburg before and its where their friendship started and continued through the years.

As usual, they also like to dine at Schloss Staufenberg in Durbach.

Aside from flammkuchen which is the specialty of the castle, they also ordered a cheese plate

And of course my favorite apple flammkuchen

The castle is on top of the mountain with a nice view of the vineyard

Since its summer, the sunset is at around 8 or 9 pm, look at the red sky on the background.

Meet Cha Cha

Our new addition to the family is a shih tzu named kimberly, nicknamed cha-cha. She is two months old and she is older than jaimee. Shih tzu is one of the most popular of the toy breed. It is well known for its long, flowing, luxurious hair, which covers all of its body. It has a round head, pleasant expression, and large, round, dark eyes.

She is now the apple of the eye of my family. She is very playful, affectionate and love attention and being spoiled. Because of her hair, she was yesterday mistaken for a rug in the house.

Her birth certificate reveal that her name is Heart but soon she's going to have a new name- Kimberly Jemarie Paala

Ate Lita's Birthday

Ate Lita who live in Sinzheim is just like a big sister to all of us here. That's why when she invited us to attend her 60++ birthday, we readily said yes. There are lots of pinays who attended her party but there are some guests that are not familiar to me.

Ate Lita (in black dress) seem to be never tired of cooking on all her birthdays. She prepared and cooked a lot of foods, mostly pinoy dishes like fried fish, nilaga, pansit, lumpia and many others.

She also prepared filipino delicacies like maja blanco, kuchinta, puto, ricecakes, etc.

There's also grilled meat and barbeque. At the moment we forgot to think that we're on diet.

The party is not complete without karaoke. On the microphone is Cita, our filipina singer here. She's a good friend and i'm very proud of her.

And of course the dancing queens
