Family Friend from Limburg

Yesterday, the couple Klaus and Bebel Lützig minus their children visited us. They are friends of Dirk for more than 20 years. Klaus and dirk worked at markant Offenburg before and its where their friendship started and continued through the years.

As usual, they also like to dine at Schloss Staufenberg in Durbach.

Aside from flammkuchen which is the specialty of the castle, they also ordered a cheese plate

And of course my favorite apple flammkuchen

The castle is on top of the mountain with a nice view of the vineyard

Since its summer, the sunset is at around 8 or 9 pm, look at the red sky on the background.
