My Pandesal

I really miss pandesal and i consider it one of the comfort food i grew up with. It evokes the most memories because i usually dunked it in my tea. Others would say that this is the barometer of our economy as it is the common breakfast among the low income group. The economy is bad if the roll gets smaller because of the increase in the prices of basic commodities. Pandesal before costs 50 centavos and its bigger and now, i was surprised its 2 pesos and its smaller. But that's life, every year life is getting expensive.

Yesterday, i did try again to bake our very own pandesal. I had been craving for this the past few days and had been planning to bake it correctly. Unfortunately, I never really found a good recipe until a few days ago. So here i am again, the trying hard pandesal baker. In fairness to me, its much better this time, its soft unlike before it turned into a stone pandesal because i overbaked it. Baking just like life is a continuing process of learning.
