A Green Day

My blog for today is about green which is the color of nature and life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. It is the color of balance and also means learning, growth and harmony. Green is a safe color, if you don't know what color to use anywhere use green.



Today, aside from green plants, we saw a little bit of greens

Back here in Pinas

There's no place like home, we're back here in the Philippines for some weeks of vacation. Our flight from Frankfurt to Manila was a smooth one. I still have jet lag and my body still not yet in the normal mode. Let the pictures speaks for itself in our journey to home sweet home.

Getting to know some of the Overseas workers

Lahr Stadtpark

Tulips are one of the world's most easily recognized and loved flowers. Its meaning is coupled with the immediately identifiable shape of their colorful blooms make them a comfortable flower of choice.

With all of the sentiments and meanings of tulips, it's not surprising that their popularity continues to endure. The wide range of colors and varieties available allows them to be used for many occasions. In addition to being a favorite for cut flower arrangements, tulips can also be given as a potted plant.

It is also recognized throughout the world as one of the most popular cultivated flowers, but they are particularly associated with the Netherlands. Dutch tulips are among the leading tulip varieties within the floral community.


One of the attraction in Stadpark Lahr are the different kinds of tulips. After our lunch at the Greek restaurant nearby (where Alexis baptismal reception was held), we decided to take a small tour of the park. Of course its also one way to digest our food intake and to bond with Kriz family and family friends.



Aside from flowers, there's also a mini zoo, playground, food stalls and bird sanctuary. Thus, the Stadtpark or city park in Lahr is set aside for family relaxation and enjoyment.

Alexis Baptismal

Baptism is a sacrament marked by ritual use of water and admitting the recipient to the catholic community. Alexis, the youngest daughter of Thomas and Mabel had her baptismal yesterday at a church in Lahr. A christening is also a great way to get the whole family and relatives together.



Alexis was behaved during the baptismal ceremony.








The reception was followed at a Greek restaurant near Lahr Stadpark. The foods served are very delicious.









After the sumptuous lunch, we entered the stadpark and walked around the park.







A coffee and cake followed at their cozy home and grilled dinner afterwards.
