Beach Day

Yesterday, we decided to spend the day at Canyon Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas. It also serve as bonding moments with Mutti and my family. There are lots of guests in the hotel to welcome the 2010. The weather is cooperative enough but on the way home, it took us 3 hours to get home because of traffic.



We're lucky enough because there's lunch buffet and for Daphne, my grandaughter its free.




Mutti and Dirk enjoyed very much the beach. We didn't tried and the reason is always the same, we don't want to get more brown. The picture speaks a thousand words and one thing is sure its really enjoyable here in the Philippines where there are lots of sun, sea and sand.

A Productive Day

Finally, we were able to buy an e-pass at Total gasoline station. Its out of stock even in their own head office and Rapide Auto Repair Shops. We need the new e-pass for Joy, our new Chery car. Even without the statement of account, we were also able to pay our PLDT bill at their office near Technopark.



The supervisor of Shakeys Pacita where we have lunch, joined us for some small talk, we met her in Germany two years ago together with her two sisters.



The second screen door was also installed in the kitchen.



Mutti was also able to buy the fabric that she wants for her birthday.

Hot Stone Massage

The other day Mutti tried the hot stone massage. It is a style of massage therapy in which water-treated stones are placed at specific sites on the client's body to promote relaxation and achieved mental wellness. As the warm stones relax the body, the mind is calmed retreating into a deep meditative state.



Physical wellness can also be achieved through hot stone massage. Hot stone therapy relieves muscle aches and pain. The penetrating heat also helps to relieve pain associated with arthritis. It improves blood circulation keeping your heart healthy. The therapy also helps stimulates the flow of oxygen and nutrients helping your body to detoxify and heal. This helps create a calming effect on the nervous system increasing vitality. The end result is a feeling of overall good health.

Family Visitors

On the way to Mall of Asia yesterday, Arno and Nona Schanowski's family together with Jessica came to our retirement house. I admired Nona for being so organized because their 3-week trip here are properly planned. By now they are probably in Banaue for culture and nature trip.







We toured them around the house and also took some souvenir shots at the clubhouse pool.

Multiply Friends

For the first time, we attended the much awaited meet ups of multiply bloggers at Guia and Boboy Yanzon's cozy house in Tagaytay. They seem to know each other for a long time and they're always doing the eyeball a day after christmas. We were introduced by the host to the bloggers who came from different parts of the universe.




They are fun to be with and i enjoyed talking and exchanging pleasantries with them. We're now connected because of Nona, my co-alumnus at PUP and a family friend in Germany. Though i regularly blog at Blogger, i also maintained a multiply site and i now have lots of friends there.




The eyeball is a whole day affair, thanks to the generosity of the Yonzon couple. They are very friendly and accomodating. The kitchen staff are very busy preparing and serving the guests.




We also received some gifts from our newfound web friends. The bloggers also bring something to eat, mostly a specialty from their place. Laughter and jokes also overwhelmed the place.





The multiply bloggers kids also enjoyed the get together.




Jessica, the daughter of a family friend Lalaine and Michael also joined the affair. She's here for a holiday vacation.

Christmas is Togetherness

First of all i want to greet my friends, relatives, web friends, B7 group, multiply friends, and all my readers, commenters, followers, the best of the holiday season.



Yesterday, we celebrated christmas at my sister's place and in the evening at Shepherd family, our neighbor at Southforbes. Every year, my relatives came to myra and joey's house for the traditional family get together. Would you believe that visitors came as early as 6 in the morning and she said that we're already the 7th batch that day. Foods, gifts and guests are overflowing at our former family house.



As started last year, Dirk played santa and gave crispy cash presents to kids who lined up three times. The kids are very happy with our small gifts, its really the thought that counts and not the value of the presents.

Christmas Eve

Last night, my family came in full force to celebrate christmas eve with us. I cooked the whole day for them, a motherly task which i failed to do in ten years because of my migration in Germany. Of course the mom feeling will always be in my heart though we're thousand miles apart, thanks to the new technologies.






A family friend, Brian and Lucy joined us to celebrate the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ. We do the traditional salo-salo and giving gifts. Its our second christmas here and we like it very much to spend the holiday season with my family.






Eric and Roxanne Mulder of Netherland also came to give us a gift. The children liked very much their presents and cash gifts.
