Today's grandparents has many roles for their grandchildren. They often find themselves in the parenting role for their grandchildren in which they face a number of challenges. Relationships with them is just like a plant that needs nourishment, but being a remote and absentee grandmother as well, this becomes more difficult to accomplish. But, i make it a point to talk to them once or twice a week about their school and other activities. Bonding moments is usually during our yearly visits.
