Our saturday morning start picking up Buddy at Terminal 3 airport. After years of working in Qatar, its now time to venture into another journey somewhere in a very cold country. On the way home, we eat our snack at her favorite Chef Yum Yum noodles restaurant. Our lunch is at Fridays together with Dirk, bought mineral water, grocery shopping, Dirk's haircut and massage at Southwoods mall. Buddy is somehow tired with the long flight so she just rest and sleep after all those activities.
Time flies so fast that one month is already over for my daughter Rose Belle and grandson Kieth. There are no dull moments for them because they did a lot of bonding with family members and friends. We also do some shopping, pampering, visiting friends, church visits and many more. One month is not enough but the time they spend here are all priceless that money can't buy. Thank you Lord for their safe flight back to Canada and back to realities for them. We are really very happy for their visit along with Astrid who will stay here for a few months before going to Canada as well.
Every year we always celebrate mother's day but this year is different because my daughter in Canada is here to celebrate with us. We also have a part 2 of my birthday celebration courtesy of my OFW daughters and my other children. Word is not enough to express how much i appreciate their efforts to make me happy and my birthday a memorable one. Family is everything, we laughed, we cry and we appreciate simple joys in life. But its the mother who tied and binds them all, because her hands tend to them when they are still small, guide them as they grow, support and pray for them as they find their way. Happy mom's day to the great mom of all times Mama Mary, moms in heaven, my sisters, daughters and all the nanays out there.
By the way, today is also the founding anniversary of our residence for 14 years, the South Forbes Villas where there are some activities for homeowners....
I accept that i am getting older and not anymore fit because of my health issues. But thank God i was able to celebrate my special day with my family at Okada and Venice Grand Canal. My OFW daughters are on vacation here and their presence is already a gift for me plus the birthday greetings and wishes from Dirk, my other kids, grandkids, relatives and friends. I am very happy reaching this age despite my sickness and my family is where i get my strength and motivation.
