Lockdown Life

The enhanced community quarantine has been extended for two weeks more for the safety of everyone. This means we are still locked up in the four corners of our house and its no big deal for us. Soon this will all be over and there will be a new normal as they called it. My blog post is very limited because of the lockdown and few activities. With the more strict guidelines, we should now wear face mask in front of our house and practice physical distancing everywhere.

My Garden

This extended enhanced community quarantine limit the content of my blog. Its because we are just staying at home most of the time and only go out to buy essentials once a week. So my routine is just my garden, terrace, garrage and inside the house which i clean regularly. In this blog i will feature my real reel garden which is a combination of true plants and plastic flowers. As you can see in my blogs many years ago, our house has lots of plants, grass, trees but now its now minimalized. The maintenance of my garden is now simple and i can do it even without my gardener.  But of course i still need him for gardening and cleaning the area outside the house.

By the way, our neighbor friends are so kind that when they give something i asked them to place it in the chair outside the house to maintain physical distancing. Also, the frontliners of SRMHC also  acknowledged our help to them, its our small gesture to support the others in need.

Happy Easter Everyone !!!

Lenten season has passed and my easter message is for everyone to stay home so that we can save lives. May the Lord Almighty put an end to this Corona virus and all thos who are afflicted will all get healed. May the Lord protect all our families and keep us all safe so that we can go back to our normal lives.

Cravings Satisfied

The good news is that finally Dirk was able to eat his favorite shakeys pizza and cheeseburger and the not so good is that the enhanced community quarantine was extended till end of this month. On the brighter side, it is very important to have the continued lockdown for the safety of everyone with regards to this Covid 19.  This virus changed our life 360 degrees because we realized the importance of what we have, the family, mother earth, relationships and faith. Though we are confined in the four corners of our house suddenly our life changed dramatically from being active fast paced life to a very simple one. We became to value more our loved ones, nature and a deep relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Everything happen for a reason and this virus teach us a more valuable lessons in life. Hopefully one day, this will just be a part of the past and whatever we learned from this will continue for a better life.

By the way, together with my neighbor friends, we were able to help the frontliners of Santa Rosa Hospital and Medical Center. Its just our small way of thanking them for their sacrifice and helping the Covid 19 patients, after all sharing is caring....

Home Cooked Meals

Our normal routine everyday is going out for lunch in different restaurants around our areas. But due to the enhanced community quarantine, i have to prepare different food for dirk and me. My hubby eat western foods while i prepare filipino dishes . I tried to cook healthy meals for both of us to boost our immune system to fight this virus. I just hope one day this will all be over because its already taking its toll on everyone especially the poorest of the poor. Now that the ECQ has been extended till end of this month, hopefully it will help flatten the curve, more recoveries and fewer positive cases. 

The Frontliners

This corona virus makes my blog in hiatus mode. Because of the enhanced community quarantine, our movement is just limited to our house, supermarket and pharmacy. Its much better this way, we stay home, stay safe and we save lives. Anyway, this virus choose no age, gender, race, background, status in life and education. Many thanks to all our frontliners, the health worker, medical staff, security guards, salesladies, barangay tanods, soldiers, policemen and many more who risked their lives to attend to the needs of the covid 19 patients and those who are affected by the lockdown. Inspite of whats happening around the world, it made us appreciate the simple things in our lives.

By the way, two thumbs up also to my sister Naty, daughter in law Lheen, brother in law Joey and classmate friend Ester in the US for being frontliners, i am so proud of you.

Enhanced Community Quarantine

The number of positive cases on Covid 19 is increasing very fast, thrice as much as the persons under investigation/monitoring and even deaths. Its really alarming and i am worried with regards to the safety of my family and friends. To prevent the widespread, our government imposed a lockdown in Luzon that means everyone should stay home unless needed. Only one in the household is allowed to have a quarantine pass for buying necessities. We are really affected but its for the good of everyone. Checkpoints are designated on borders, physical distancing is strictly imposed, window hours for shopping foods, thermal monitoring, no more gatherings, no public transportation, no more tourists allowed to enter, no domestic flights to manila,closures of business establishments and only supermarkets and pharmacies are open. Its good that we have a marketplace nearby to cater to the needs of our village and living nearby. Fast food chains are open only for takeouts and to ease the burden of having no income, we helped our workers by giving them small help and goodies.
I hope and pray for the safety of the frontliners, the doctors, nurses, medical staff and even policemen, barangay tanods and everyone who are imposing the lockdown. Lord please protect my family, relatives, friends and heal those who are infected and the most important contain/stop the virus not only here in the Philippines but in the whole world. We all fervently pray that we will overcome the problem and this too shall pass,
