A Busy Week

It was really a productive and tiring week. I made lot of errands, attend events, lunchouts and more.  What makes me more busy is the repainting and repairs of our houses here in South Forbes and San Jose. I was also able to attend our monthly Lions meeting and processed the papers needed for our building permit.

Despite being busy, we also find time to play bowling at The Mills with friends...

Roof Cleaning

Together with our good neighbor, we had just a spontaneous ashfall cleaning on our roofs. Its been three weeks since the Taal Volcano spewed ashes and its only now that we do the clearing because of the threat for another eruption. We thanked God that all our workers are safe considering the heights and its slippery.

Commune Hall

The Commune Hall in Vista Mall is the classy version of food court. It offers booths catering to both local and international foods from pinoy dishes to italian, chinese, thai,persian and many more. Dirk loved to eat in this all in one place which also offers discounts to persons with disabilities and seniors.

By the way, we are also cautious of the worldwide epidemic, the novel corona virus by wearing face masks. After the ashfall from Taal volcano, now comes this virus that infected already thousands of people worldwide and more than 300 deaths. The best way to combat this is to wear face mask, avoid crowded places, wash your hands, strengthened your immune system, take vitamin c and proper hygiene..

LES Batch 73 Reunion

After 47 years, our  batch 73 had its get together in the quadrangle of Legarda Elementary School in Sampaloc, Manila. My feeling was a mixed feeling of excitement and nostalgic. I am very happy to see my former classmates and batchmates. We really had fun reminiscing our memories with each other almost 5 decades ago. Our principal who is 97 years old also graced the affair together with our former teachers. In two years, LES will be celebrating its 100 year and so with our principal who will be a centenarian by then. We also revisited the place where i was born and grew up. It was really a nice feeling bonding with my classmate friends and i can't help myself being emotional. We will soon be seniors but still the energy, charms and humor still exists on us.

 Anyway our simple reunion coincides with the Chinese New Year, Kung Hei Fat Choi everyone !!!!!!
