The Big Truck and A Big Family

On our way to Idaho, we stopped at Sparwood where a very big truck always awaits camera posers. The 1974 Terex Titan was the worlds largest truck for 25 years, a huge machine built to haul raw material around open pit mines. If there is a big truck we also have a big family here in Canada who always bonds when time permits...

A Busy Afternoon

The weather was nice yesterday so Dirk and my grandson Kitkit does their weekly swimming at Genesis Place. Prior to that we were able to buy some stuff for the big kids back home. We also have a light snack at McDonalds and upon arriving home, my better half quickly feed his squirrel friends.

By the way, our vacation here in Canada turned out to be a fruitful one because i did learn to cook rice the right way, preparing siomai and now i'm already eating watermelon & corn.....

Beautiful British Columbia Part 2

After browsing the downtown Vancouver and its nice seaport, we then start the 12 hour journey of driving back to Airdrie. Its really very tiring for my son in law the driving so we stopped every three hours to see more places in this beautiful region. We even ride a gondola at Revelstoke and this trip is indeed a memorable one for all of us. Thank God for taking care of us during this long drive and to our very good driver that we arrive home safely.

Exploring Vancouver, British Columbia Part 1

After our Seattle trip, another two hours and we are in Vancouver, Canada. It is a coastal seaport city in western Canada, located in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia. We enjoyed browsing around the port where small and big ships are lining up and so are the seaplanes. We also have photo ops at the 2010 winter olympic and paralympic torch. We then drive to the downtown to see the steam clock, buy souvenirs and have lunch at Goldilocks, another Philippine restaurant famous for their delicious dishes, cakes and breads.
