Birthday Surprise

My birthday was extended today for i received a surprised bouquet of flowers from my youngest daughter Astrid who is working in Qatar. Every year, she never run out of surprises for me and i really appreciated their gestures.

My Birthday

I turned a year older yesterday but i still feel younger despite my age close to being a senior citizen in a few years. It was my birthday but it was Dirk's wishes to have lunch at Marriott Hotel Manila. I gave in to his desire though its a little bit pricey but its worth it and seeing Dirk very happy is priceless. The buffet at Marriott Cafe was amazing and so with the birthday song from the staff with complimentary cake. I deeply thanked GOD for my more than fifty years of existence and to my family for unconditional love. Again, to my family and friends who gave their greetings and warm wishes, thank you very much.

Governor's Final Visitation

Its my first time to attend the Governor's final visitation for district 301-A2 at the Calamba host headquarter. It comprise the Lions club of Laguna, Quezon, Batangas and Cavite in which they give reports and programs of their club. Our newly formed Santa Rosa Centennial Lions club was also introduced in that meeting. Since its one day before my birthday, my Lions family also greeted the May celebrants.

Our country has seen an explosion of online shopping activity over the past years. I'm one of those addicted shopper and my favorite is Lazada, the number one online shopping and selling destination. Its really convenient, hassle free and lots of varieties to choose from.

Nanay's Death Anniversary

Today marked the 12th death anniversary of my loving mother who joined our Creator on May 6, 2006. Even if she's gone, i know that she's watching and protecting all of us from heaven.

Health is Wealth

For the past months i'm always complaining of the swelling on my left ankle. I ignored it for several weeks but its getting bigger especially when i ate foods that is not allowed. So i go to a rheumatologist to have me checked and suggested lab test and ct scan on my legs. The initial diagnosis is gouty arthritis which i got genetically. Anyway, the ct scan result will be out in 3 to 5 days and hopefully will find cure for my sickness. I'm not getting any younger so this is really expected because it runs in the blood. I first experienced this at the age of 12 and even some of my kids and nephew has this discomfort. Its good that i have maxicare card courtesy of my daughter Aizza which really helps a lot for medical costs.

Coffee Time with Oldies

Almost everyday a group of senior citizens mostly foreigners who retire here in the Philippines gather for coffee at Country style at SM santa rosa. Its nice chatting with them and every week our number of friends increased.
