The Day After Christmas

The holiday is not yet over but its already taking its toll on my body and purse. I already get rid of all the christmas presents for my loved ones which emptied our christmas tree and thats the minus part. The added ones are the kilos we accumulated because of the sumptuous foods served on the christmas tablessss of friends and relatives. The day after christmas, Filipinos are still in the eating and shopping mode. Yesterday, all the restaurants in Paseo are full and there are still many shoppers at Nuvali's christmas bazaar.

It's Christmas

After spending the christmas eve with my family, its our friends turn to spend christmas with us. We feasted on foods that i cooked and Yna prepared a very tasting beef curry. Over christmas dinner and high calorie dessert, we talked about family life and future plans. Its our first time to host a consecutive dinner with family and friends and i loved doing it for dear ones.

Christmas with my Family

Its a nice feeling to spend christmas with loved ones. It is the time of the year when the whole family enjoyed a sumptuous meal together, laughing, talking and having fun. We just spend christmas eve with my family today and my children are very happy with Mutti's presence and presents. My children also prepared a dance number to the delight of everybody. We eat together and exchanged gifts afterwards. But for me the best of all gifts is the presence of a happy family wrapped up in each other.

Gift-Giving Day

Christmas is a big holiday in our country. We really go out of our way and and take time to prepare for this annual season. It is a unique festival of merry making and gift-giving, a tradition which was handed from one generation to another. We moved here in our retirement house last year and i was surprised that neighbors drive from house to house to give gifts. I did not prepare anything because we're new in the community but they understand. But this year, i catch up with them and handed them our gifts today.

Singing for a Cause

We just finished the last round of our carolling tonight. Kudos to the carollers for the effort, to homeowner donors and to our guitarist Attorney who gave his precious time to accompanied us in our endeavor of soliciting funds for underprivileged children. Of course we passed by the Bachmann residence to serenade my hubby and Mutti with christmas songs. Our last stop was at the ever generous Gutierrez family who also played a very important role in this charity work and even served us a sumptuous midnight snack. To all my co-singers, i'm proud of our achievement.

The Bowlers

Yesterday, we did drive again to Canlubang Golf club for lunch and play bowling at the Mills Country Club. Its a good feeling to bond with our neighbor and at the same time doing some sports together.
