Not only you gain friends during vacation, you also gain weight. The Islantilla Golf Resort Hotel offered different kinds of dishes in their dinner buffet. So how could you resist these tempting foods???

Happy Mother's Day !!!

I am truly grateful to GOD for giving me a wonderful mother who now rests in heaven. But i have a second mother in the person of Mutti Helga, the beloved mother of my very understanding and loving partner dirk. Mothers are there to set direction in our lives and they are the one who gives us their unconditional love and encouraging words on our lifes journey. Words are not enough to praise them for all the love and sacrifice they've done to their children.

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, mother-in-laws, stepmothers, grandmothers, godmothers, pinoy mom bloggers and especially to MAMA MARY

Thank you LORD for blessing my family and for giving me another year to greet and congratulate myself for being a cool e-mom

I celebrated my birthday yesterday with a simple lunch and dinner with dirk and mutti in our hotel. I was also greeted by some hotel guests who became our friends during our stay there. After dinner, i watched the RTL show-Deutschland search for superstar. To my family and friends who phoned me in Spain and send birthday greetings and messages, thanks a lot.

Golf Vacation-day 5 to 8

Unlike the past days that we have a sunny weather, today is somehow windy but warm. Dirk and mutti resumed playing golf. Our trip to Huelva and Sevilla the past days caught my attention, see for yourself, why???

Whats in a name???

You see, it sounds my name, here i'm an owner of a boutique (joke)

Here i owned a street or just named it after me (another joke)

Aside from the golf activities of mutti and dirk, we spent our last days here in paradise by having lunch with a couple from United Kingdom, a visit to Isla Cristina near the harbor and some nightlife experience.

Sevilla Adventure-day 4

Today dirk and mutti did not played golf. It was on our plan that there is one free day to explore around Sevilla, one of the biggest city south of Spain. We did visited the Plaza del Toros, where the bullfight takes place.


An adventure is not complete without visiting the Sevilla Cathedral. It is the biggest gothic church and the third biggest catholic church in the world. It is very disappointing that most stores in the city closed at 2pm because of siesta and resumed operation at 5pm which limits our activities. There are thousands of tourists and parking is a very big problem. With my little knowledge of the spanish language, at least i was able to communicate with them.

Islantilla Golf Resort-3rd day

Today, we did have an early breakfast coz mutti and dirk played golf at 9:30. I would say that the breakfast and dinner buffet in this golf resort was superb. They offered varieties of foods from appetizer, main dishes to dessert. I was surprised that they also have leche plan. I think i gained weight and i'm going to make some workouts as soon as we're back in Germany.

After our light lunch here in the hotel restaurant, we did drive to Huelva, a small city close to Islantilla. We did browsed around the city and do a little shopping.



Today also marked the second death anniversary of my dear mother. We're also in vacation when i heard the news of her death, so i have to cut short my vacation in Portugal, rushed back to Germany and fly to Manila just in time for her burial which coincide with mothers day. I stayed there for just five days, you can just imagine the protest that my body goes through because of time difference. But to see my beloved mother for the last time is all worth it.

Golf Vacation- Day 1&2

Our 3 hour flight to Faro International Airport in Portugal was a smooth one. The time difference is one hour ahead and from there we get our rented car and drive to Spain. And from Spain is another 1-hour time difference than in Portugal so its somehow confusing. We're staying in Islantilla Golf Resort Hotel, a 4 star hotel with 300 rooms and very close to the middle ocean.

There are lots of amenities like thermal bath, spa, 2 big swimming pools, fitness & massage room, playground, tennis court, very big restaurant and a lot more. I'm just using the internet service of the hotel so i will post our pictures later. For now, i will just enjoy my well-deserved vacation and on wednesday, we're driving to Sevilla, a big city here in southern Spain.

Spain and Portugal here we come, again!!!

Today we have a nice weather and its a good bonding moments for me and my friends. We met at the chinese restaurant for lunch and in-between eating fried duck in thai curry sauce, we talked about our work and summer plans.

At home, dirk is packing his stuff in preparation for our golf vacation with Mutti in Spain. Last year, we're near Alicante and now we're going to Islantilla which is close to Portugal.
