Mother's Day and My Birthday Celebrations

 First of all, Happy Mother's Day to all great moms out there. Every year, my birthday is either moms day or a day before or after, so  we always celebrate it at the same time. This year is different because they have a surprise birthday family get together for me. Honestly, i don't have any clue that they will be doing this on my birthday, all i know is that we are going to have a community pantry to help our neighbors. To cut the story short, i was overwhelmed with gratefulness that i cannot eat and somehow put me on a floating mode. It takes time for me to sink in and i am really thankful to all my kiddos for a successful birthday surprise. Thanks to my ever loving, caring and generous daughters Bel & Astrid for the cash gifts and pricey bag. Kudos to my other kiddos  Arianne, Aizza and the big boys for their participation in the surprise birthday preparations and for the community pantry. Thanks again for other members of the family who in one way or another helped and share their time and effort especially Buddy who is always supportive of my advocacy. I am not that too showy but deep inside my heart, i am really overwhelmed with happiness. Thanks again Lord, for the gift of life and for having wonderful children. By the way, i was also able to visit my mom's grave at Everlasting Memorial Park before proceeding to kids house. Up to now i am still in cloud nine and will be forever thankful for all the love and respect my kids and grandkids are giving on me. 

To complete my day, i also have a short but precious celebrations with dear neighbor friends at Coffee Bean. Over Chamomile Tea and spicy tuna bread, we have a never ending talks about the present situations especially the vaccines. We share ideas on how to boost our immune systems and how we can protect our families. 

Feeding Program

 It was my birthday yesterday and in the early morning, i joined my fellow lions and South Forbes wives for a feeding program. We fed around 400 kids and residents of Barangay Inchican and Sitio Banaba in Silang, Cavite. It was a nice feeling helping others and celebrate my birthday with them. Anyway, with the help of barangay officials, we strictly follow health and safety protocols.

 

Lunch Bonding with Friends

 Today, a close friends of ours invited us for lunch at South Forbes Golf Course restaurant. Its their 16th wedding anniversary and over delicious foods, we bond, laugh and share pandemic stories. We just wish Les and Bel  more blissful years of happiness and togetherness. 

Our Covid 19 Vaccine Journey

 We got our first dose of Sinovac yesterday at Ayala Westgrove Sports Complex. Two thumbs up to the local government unit of Cavite for the organized vaccination program for Barangays Tibig, Inchican and Westgrove. It has 4 steps, registration, counselling, screening then vaccination. The LGU also provide buses for people in the barangay, kudos to Gov Jonvic Remulla for this. Health and safety protocols were also strictly followed. After the vaccination, my blood pressure and pulse rate increased and the nurse said its just normal because i got nervous. We have a ten minute observation and the second take on my BP shows it goes down, then we are allowed to go home. Snacks, sweets, paracetamol and drinks were also provided after the shot. Hopefully, there will be no side effects and the second dose will be at the end of this month. 

Mini Clinic at Home

 Covid 19 is real, in fact its getting closer to home where some of my close friends and even relatives got infected. Most of the hospital nowadays are almost full because of the rising cases. For the next two weeks, we are still on MECQ flex which means its just like the newer version of GCQ. Soon it will be NECQ, the never ending community quarantine. Anyway, i set up a mini clinic at home just to check and monitor ourselves on the daily basis. I have the new oxygen concentrator which will help me breath and other health gadgets. It is very important to have these in every home for our safety and protection.
