Our place is still in the general community quarantine but lighter version. Mass gatherings are allowed provided not exceeding 30 and of course we need to follow safety protocols. It was a nice feeling attending friends birthday celebrations enjoying foods and games. Somehow we were able to exercise again our jaws because of laughing and exchanging pleasantries about everyday life and situations makes it more memorable.
In a few days is already All Souls Day, but because of the Corona virus and to avoid transmission, the government issued guide lines on this. All cemeteries, mortuaries, public and private are closed starting today and it will be reopened on November 5. I think this is a good move from the Department of Health because as we all know millions of people flocked to cemeteries to visit their departed loved ones and to avoid covid 19, thus this guideline. Our government is just concern with the health and safety of everyone. By the way, my sister, kid and grandson visited the grave of my mother one day before the closure. Though i was not yet able to visit my mom, she is always in my heart and in my prayers everyday.
Finally, we can now resume eating lunch because the IATF now allowed 15 to 65 years old to be outside their homes. Slowly, we are back on track and hopefully our economy will also recover. By the way, Dirk's favorite restaurant now is Cafe Breton where he can enjoy international foods.
It is a filipino tradition to offer nine days prayer vigil for a departed loved ones and friends. For Tiarra's ninth day, we had our prayer vigil done at their family home in Georgia. It was my first time to be in their house and its really huge. We did bring foods to share and her family participated in the prayers. May her soul rest in peace and i know she is now happily nested with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Yna, our close family friend celebrated her birthday at Myra's place in Chateaux de Paris. Because of the pandemic, get together are not allowed and bonding with friends was temporarily on hold. That's why we really had lots of catching up to do with the birthday girl who just returned from Canada. It was a nice party with lots of fun and overflowing of laughter, foods and drinks.
In honor of our dear departed friend, Tiarra, a Holy Mass was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bel Air. It was attended by her family and close friends and after the mass, her Urn was blessed by the Parish Priest. We also continue a prayer vigil for her and may she rest in peace.
