We're Back in Canada

Thanks God we have a very smooth flight from Manila to Calgary.  We are in the premium economy seat so it is very comfortable for Dirk because of  extended leg room. We are happy to be back here in a place where we called a second home. It is a priceless feeling to be with a family and grandkids who lives thousand miles away from our beloved land.

Canada Bound

I am very happy that before we fly to Canada, i was able to visit the grave of my mother at Everlasting Park in San Pedro. I was also able to bond with my children and grandchildren when i brought our royal dogs for them to take care while we are away.

Dinner Treats

I am really sooo blessed with generous friends here in our retirement place. Because we are Canada bound again this weekend,  my SF neighbor friends treated me for a sumptuous dinner at Italiannis and Coffee Bean. Sure, i am going to miss our bonding time, the laughter and the girly talks.

Remy's 60th Birthday Celebrations

Remy, a friend and a fellow Lion member reached a new milestone in her life. She turned 60 with a big celebration with family, relatives and friends at Bel Air 3. The food was great and the program goes well though the birthday girl becomes emotional with the touching messages and greetings of family and friends. We also enjoyed bonding with other guests and the ballroom dancing as well.

SRCLC Monthly Meeting

The monthly meeting of Santa Rosa Centennial Lions club was held yesterday at Bel Air. We reached a quorum so we proceed with the meeting discussing about our club's project, financial, conventions, inductions and other matters.

Celebrations with Family

Yesterday, i have a very simple birthday and mother's day celebrations with my family in San Pedro, I am really very happy to be with my children and grandchildren.  I am also very grateful for my children especially my OFW team abroad daughters Rose Belle and Astrid for the cash gifts. I also took the opportunity to exercise my right to vote for the mid year election . Though i forgot my reading glass i just guess some of the candidates which i really don't know. But anyway, hoping that all the elected officials will do something for welfare of their constituents and will not be blinded by power and money.

Happy Mother's Day

Tomorrow we will honor all mothers in this world and their contributions to humanity.  First of all i want to greet Mama Mary, my mom in heaven, my mother in law and to all moms out there a Happy Mother's Day. A mother is the only truest friends we have who also gave us an unconditional love. They are our first creative teacher and every successful child is the product of an enthusiastic mother. Motherhood is a journey and i thank God that i think i was able to mold my daughters to be a good mothers to their children. They live by my example and i am happy that they are all better wives and mothers.
