Chartering Meeting

Last night our Lions chartering meeting was held at Microtel Hotel a few blocks from our place. Finally, we were able to organize a new club and we named it Santa Rosa Centennial Lions club. With the help and support of our mother club, Calamba Host, hopefully we will reach more less fortunate people here in our area.

Our Extended Kitchen

The malls around us are our extended kitchen because i don't cook meals at home. As a stroke survivor, he needs a new environment everyday. He is very happy trying all the restaurants but the Unlimited shabu shabu grill 4all is one of his favorites.

Feeding Program and Gift Giving

After hearing the healing mass on television, my sunday was also devoted to our advocacy of helping the less fortunate ones. With the joint project of Calamba Host Lions club, Binan Lions club, Microtel Wyndham Southforbes and the Universal Robina Corporation, we conducted a feeding program and gift giving to the constituents of Brgy. Inchican in Silang, Cavite. Its really a nice feeling helping the needy and making them happy in our own small way.

With our regular zumba every monday and thursday, its not just sweating out but a bonding time with my southforbes friends....

Send Off Dinner

Before the Haskett couple Jim and Yna flew to Canada, we planned a send off dinner for them. Though it was just organized a few days before their departure, we were able to make them happy. They will be back in October and hopefully we'll meet them when we have our vacation there in June.

Happy Easter Everyone !!!

I have a very fond memory of our Easter tradition during our growing up years. My mother is always telling us that holy week is a time for reflection. We always attended the procession on Good Friday and also the reunion at dawn of Mama Mary and Papa Jesus on Easter Sunday. After the mass we sometimes go to the seaside along Roxas Boulevard to swim and feasted on Lechon. But most of the Easter Sunday during those years,we are just at home and my mother will just prepare delicious foods. I still remember that she always cooked our favorite Sinigang but Biko or ricecake is always present every year... sometimes its nice travelling down the memory lane. A blessed and blissful Easter to all of us....
