Mutti's Philippines Vacation

For 16 days, my mother in law visited us here in the Philippines not minding the long hour of flight and fatigue. For her age of 85, she is still fit but because of her three knee replacement operation somehow her movements are limited. The thousands of kilometers travel from europe to asia is not a hindrance just to see us especially to be with Dirk who had suffered stroke three years ago. This time, she just wanted to stay at home, talked to us and tried the different restaurants nearby. We are very happy because she really takes time to bond with us and that shows the love of a good mother to her children. She's back in Germany and as she told us, it will be her last visit here because we're going to meet her halfway maybe in Dubai next year. Below is our pictures of family bonding and food trips....

Craving for Indian and German Foods

For the past two days, we did try the newly opened Indian restaurant here in our area with our neighbor friends. In fairness it tastes good, they really offered authentic indian foods like curries, basmati rice, kebap and many more. Yesterday, its german foods day with our good friend John. For me, its actually not the food that we're enjoying because its just the pluses, but the company and bonding with friends.

SFV Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Truly, christmas is in the air. In our subdivision this year, we changed totally all our christmas decorations. As part of the committee, we have several meetings to plan and organize everything to feel the holiday spirit and to encourage unity among our neighbors. Our christmas theme this year is the "Trip to Bethlehem" and the birth of our baby Lord Jesus Christ in the manger standees can now be seen in the main gate and also in the clubhouse. The first event prior to our yearly party is the lighting ceremony of the christmas tree last night. It was attended by the Board of Directors and the christmas committee. Its now lighted everyday which will give light to every families and a glimpse of hope for the coming year.
