Birthdays and Bonding

It was a busy saturday for me, two events in one day. First, i attended the birthday celebrations of Yolly and Weng's brother in Tagaytay. Foods and drinks overflowed and so was the fun and the chat with our german friends and their wives. Dirk did not joined us because he was horrified with the weekend traffic going to tagaytay. But he joined me later at the despedida treat of the Hustons at Shepherd's place. We are really blessed to be surrounded by good neighbor friends.

Lions Sportsfest

To promote camaraderie/sportsmanship among its members and to reach out for those who seldom attend the Lions meeting, our hardworking President Marvie organized a bowling get-together. We also choose among the members who will represent the club at the incoming Region 4 bolwing tournament on May 20. It was a nice gesture for our calamba host head supported by its members and officials of Lions District 301-A2.

Bonding with the Hustons

Les and Bel Huston are a very good neighbor friends of ours and is now based in Qatar where her husband works in a multinational company. They came here to unwind in Boracay and to visit friends and relatives. They both have a kind heart and yesterday Bel treated us for a sumptuous lunch and pampering. She is a very jolly person and we just laughed the whole afternoon that we're together.

It's Officially Summer

Everyday its getting hotter, proof is the temperature inside my car which is 37 degrees plus the warm factor. Many people go to the beach and malls as their outlet for this hot weather. For us, we sometimes go to the mall and just enjoy the air-conditioned shops and restaurants. Even our furry housemate has her way of beating the summer.

Lunchouts and more...

Because we're just two in the house, we find it more practical to have lunchout everyday. We eat at different restaurants everyday and its also an outlet for Dirk to enjoy the fresh outside the house. Since his stroke two years ago, swimming became his therapy and travelling to other places makes him happy.

Heinz Birthday Celebration

Our german friend reached another milestone today having reached 82 years of age. He is still in perfect shape because of his healthy lifestyle. They are going to return soon to Germany and we're surely going to miss the german foods that his wife Weng always prepared for us. He is very happy on his special day because he is surrounded by his loving family and friends.
