Lunch at Vivere Skyline

We just came back from a sumptuous lunch at the Skyline Bar and Restaurant on the roof deck (31st floor) of Vivere Suites Hotel. It was nice having lunch there overlooking the Alabang commercial area and Laguna de Bay. The pool also completed the perfect ambience and my only complain is that the foods are a little bit expensive.

Our Favorites

Shakeys becomes our favorite lunchtime haven almost everyday. Dirk liked very much the Heros classic sandwich with french fries while we always ordered bunch of lunch or chicken and pasta. By the way, while buying some fruits in our market here, i was surprised to see my favorite Marang fruits. I learned about this fruit during our Davao trip and it really tastes good.

Bonding at Salon

MJ, a good neighbor friend of ours opened today her new business venture, Honeybunch Beauty Salon at Bel-Air 2. We are the very first customers so Dirk got a haircut for free. My friends also got fifty percent discount on hair treatments and coloring. As a friend, i just wish her all the best not only on her beauty salon but to her other businesses as well.

Its Summertime

For the past days its really very very hot that the temperature even goes up to 38 degrees. Its the first time in 13 years that i spend summer here in the Philippines and i really dont expected it to be like this. One of the best way to beat the heat is going to airconditioned shopping malls. We did that yesterday and have some shopping and lunch at pizza hut. Dirk liked it very much and told him that our next destination will be Alabang Town Center and Festival Mall.

Back in the Bowling Lanes

After my month long hiatus from the bowling scene, we're back in the lanes at AMF Puyat Sports Center in Starmall Alabang. It was nice seeing my bowling buddies again with their partners in life. But i admit i missed the Hasketts, the Sawyers and the Houstons. It was a nice play and it was memorable for Dirk because of his strike hit and that somehow boost his confidence.

Kim's Pool Birthday Celebration

My grandson Kim celebrated his 11th birthday in our SF haus and at the Clubhouse Pool. It was attended mostly by my family, relatives and some friends. The birthday boy is very happy to celebrate his important day in water. On the other hand, i'm also very glad to see my children and grandkids again. Also today, my brother-in-law Joey arrived from California for a month long vacation here. From the airport, they drive directly to our place to join the celebration.

Bonding with Mutti

Dirk is very happy that his mother came here for a six-day visit. I pick her up in the airport and of course Dirk is with me. We had a lengthy conversation about our lives and future plans. I'm really very lucky to have a very kind and understanding mother-in-law. She is very supportive to us the same with Dirk's brother Klaus.
