Health Scare

I've been suffering for aan acid reflux for more than ten years and i thought that i have GERD, ulcer or intestinal problems. Everytime it attacks, its really hard because i vomited and suffered constipation. My doctors in Germany suggested a colonoscopy but i always ignore it until recently that i cannot take anymore the pain in my upper stomach because of too much acids. I visited a gastroenterologists at Southern Luzon Hospital near our area but when i saw a neighbor friend in the bank she suggested i go to other hospitals. I decided to have the procedure at Asian Medical Center in Alabang and my new doctor there suggest the new method which is Virtual Colonoscopy. To undergo this procedure i have a two day preparation and my diet is limited to clear liquids. The night before the procedure i have to take a laxative to remove everything in my stomach and this caused me a frequent trips to the toilet. Two hours before the procedure i have to take 4 Eldicet tablet and this medicine caused more stomach cramps and additional visit to the toilet. Its really uncomfortable the procedure because they have to inject air or carbon dioxide to inflate the intestines and to have a clear view. The CT scanner is somehow noisy giving instructions on the breathing process. The procedure is over in 20 minutes and Thank God the result is normal on all aspects. I've been praying before the scheduled CT colonography and i'm relieved that there's no polyps or threat of colon cancer. Its very important to have our colon checked especially for men and women aged 50 and above. The sacrifices are all worth it and the procedure is good for five years.
