My Daughters and my Friends

I'm really very happy that my southforbes neighbor friends have shared their precious time meeting up and bonded with my daughters Rose Belle and Astrid in Canada and Qatar respectively. Many thanks again to the Hasketts couple and Bel Huston for being sooo kind and accommodating to my kids. They enjoyed every minute of their catching up and it just proved that its a small world after all....

Cebu Trip- May 2015

Cebu City is a significant center of commerce, trade and education in the Visayas area. The City of Cebu is also known as the "Queen City of the South." During our first visit here, we stayed at Marriott Hotel and explored most of the tourist attractions. This place is very memorable to us because nine years ago while Dirk is playing golf at Alta Vista Golf course, i found in the lounge a brochure for Southforbes Silang, i showed it to Dirk and he was amazed with the place, the rest is history and we're now living here in southforbes for 5 years. We're here actually to attend the 66th Lions Multiple District 301 Convention. But of course the trip to Cebu is not complete without visiting the oldest church in the Philippines, the Basilica de Sto. Nino. Our stay at Waterfront Hotel is also wonderful and i liked very much their breakfast buffet. Dirk enjoyed the swimming pool and the Cebu I.T. Park is just a stone throw away from our hotel.

Lions 66th Multiple District Convention

Last weekend, me and my better half attended the Lions multiple district 301 convention in Cebu. Around 1300 plus officers and members around the country gathered in this annual event. There is a fellowhip night for the district, parade of all delegates and the proclamation night at Waterfront Hotel where we are staying. For us, its also an opportunity to meet other Lion members and to see more of Cebu. Its our second time here and i was just surprised that the traffic situation here is getting worse. Anyway, the Lions event was successful and the convention for 2016 will be held in Baguio.
