Monique and Me

For me, social networking has become a daily routine. I'm in the blogging world for two years now and i met a lot of friends online. Before my other world is reading pocketbooks and now my stress reliever, my outlet, call it whatsoever is blogging and net socializing. Making friends in the real world can be hard because you need to overcome the issues of trust. So far, i haven't enountered any foe in the blogworld, only friends.

I met Monique, the lady behind, the story of our lives in the blogworld. She became a part of our Barrio Siete group because of her comments on current issues. Soon, i found myself reading her blog and i can relate to her post because we have things in common, we're both single parent and remote moms sacrificing a lot for our kid/s. She has a strong determination to raise her daughter Andee singlehandedly. Her blog focused on her journey to mommyhood, the trials ups and down, the agony of being far away mom, future plans, travels and others depicting the story of their lives as mommy and daughter tandem. She's blessed because she has a very supportive family and friends around to help her unica ija live her life to the fullest.

Monique organized our entry ticket "At the TOp". We met her finally in Dubai and i would say that as if we've known each other for a long time. There's no dull moment with her because she's very articulate and possessed a positive outlook in life.
Thanks again Monique, i know you're reading my blog and hope to see you again in Manila next year.

We're Here Again

When our plane landed at Frankfurt Airport yesterday, the germans are very happy because Germany won over England 4-1 in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2010. Its a smooth check out from the airport till we reached our house in Appenweier. We're gone for two months and as expected our plants grew higher that our windows roll up are not functioning anymore.

At the Top - Dubai Tower

The tallest building in the world is a world class destination and Dubai's new urban masterpiece. The soaring skyscraper is now called Burj Khalifa, after Khalifa Bin Zayed, the president of the United Arab Emirates. Dubai has been a showplace for innovative buildings, and the Burj Khalifa shatters world records for building height.

Its good that i don't have fear of height when we visited the tower two days ago. It's a dream come true for me, an amazing experience at the top of the world.

Dubai Mall

On our fourth day here at UAE, Dirk, though still feeling weak survived the almost two hours trip to Dubai. It's really fascinating how were they able to build a shopping center where there are around 1200 stores, an aquarium, underwater zoo and a skating rink using the state of the art technology.

The Dubai Mall is home to just about every major fashion brand in the world.
