SFV Community Pantry

 This pandemic affected everyone especially those who belongs to the low level of society. The government budget to sustain the needs of these people is not anymore enough that's why private individuals and groups set up a community pantry to help. We at South Forbes Villas also had our own community pantry for our security guards and maintenance personnel. It is our way of helping them carrying the burden brought by this pandemic. 

By the way, after more than a month of processing Dirk's passport in Germany, it finally arrived. That means we can travel again but because of covid 19 and  travel restrictions, all plans are temporarily on hold. 

SRCLC Elections

 Our club, the Santa Rosa Centennial Lions Club MJF, recently had an election of officers for Lion year 2021 to 2022. We are still under modified ECQ but we still manage to hold our elections at Bel air 3 clubhouse. For the third time, me and my friend Yna are still holding the position of Lions Club International coordinator. With the new set of officers, hopefully we can do more club projects and help more those in need.

Gina's Despedida

 A very good friend of ours will be flying back to Kuwait to visit her family. She is married to a Kuwaiti and all her five children are  based there. She is very excited to see her family and the new grandkids. Though its still ECQ, we are still allowed to hold a despedida for her provided that guests should not exceed ten. Anyway, we enjoyed very much the bonding and updates on each other's lives and of course, we don't forget the health and safety protocols.

What's in a Name?

 For almost 4 decades, nobody dare to ask me why the first name of all my daughters is Rose until i read in their facebook post. My answer is just simple, i named them Rose because they are all my roses, the flowers for all reasons and seasons. I also just translated the rose flower being in english and their last name Rosas in tagalog. But to sum it all, i want their names to be unique, with impact that whoever read it, will stay in their minds just like in any refrains from nice song, they call it the last song syndrome or LSS in which they easily remember the chorus. Anyway, i thanked God for giving me good daughters which i admit had their own character and level of intelligence, its just normal because of differences in personality and nobody really are exactly alike. But of course the range of love i gave to them is the same for all my children....

By the way, a daughter from another mother celebrated her birthday the other day. Aleth is an extended family to us and i treated her like my own. To you anakis, happy happy birthday and may the Lord continue to bless you with more blessings and happiness.

Happy Easter Sunday

We observed the Lenten season under Enhanced Community Quarantine. Most of us just stayed at home to prevent further transmission of the corona virus. Lenten season is a time for us christians to observe a perod of fasting, repentance and spiritual discipline. The purpose is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ- his suffering and his sacrifice, his life, death and resurrection. And today, i want to wish all of you Happy Easter sunday...

Zia's Baptismal

 Last sunday, we welcome to the christian world the youngest grandchild of a very good friend at Don Bosco Church. Beacuse of the IATF guidelines, only ten guests are allowed in the event. As usual we followed health and safety protocols and our wish for Baby Zia is to grow up to be a God-fearing girl.
