My Health Essentials

Aside from having health kits at home, physical distancing, good respiratory hygiene and hand wasing are very important examples of self care actions to protect ourselves and our family against Covid 19.  Wearing face mask and following other health protocols can make a difference to our well being during this time of pandemic. Dirk and me always just stay at home and i have this kit to monitor our health instead of going to hospital for laboratory test. With the rising cases of people infected with the virus, it is very important to always disinfect our house, cars and everything. The global pandemic affect everyone and it is better to just stay home and stay safe....

My Plants and more

We are still under general community quarantine and i only go out of the house for errands and buying essential needs. Most of the time we are just at home watching movies in netflix and i also tend to my plants. My trees outside of our property are now bearing lots of papayas and everyone who likes it can take as many as they can.  Its a good relief for me seeing those fruits while i am waiting for my lemons to bear flowers.

This quarantine times also boost my shopping spree online and even supported small local business of my neighbors and other city.

When i designed our screen door, what i have in mind is an easy access for all mails deliver on our doorsteps without opening the door. But this seemed to be a great help during this pandemic because it helps in social distancing and following health safety and protocols.

Goodbye Acay

Yesterday, a very good friend  joined her Creator and we still can't believe that she is now in heaven. Acay or Teacher Verna to others is a very good mother to Benjie and sister to Remy, Jackie, Marina, Joey and the rest of the Magaso siblings. Dirk and me felt that we are their extended family because we are always invited in their special occasions. She died because of a stroke with heart complication and we sympathize deeply with their great loss. She is the life of every parties and her laughter and jokes always overwhelmed. Rest in peace my dear friend, heaven gained a good teacher and an entertainer.

By the way, we also visited her wake at Eternal Garden in Santa Rosa. Acay is now at peace and her son Benjie seemed to be a strong man.  We did not join the internment but at least we did pay our last respect to her.

SRCLC Turn Over Ceremony

All officers of Lions Club International ended their term last June 30. We at Santa Rosa Centennial Lions Club MJF has a new set of officers and we had a turn over ceremony last July 1. We also had a meeting and plan our projects for this year. We also follow social distancing and we wore mask during our meeting. It is really a nice feeling to be a member of Lions club, the biggest social service club in the world. With our new President, Lion Wendy, of course our hundred percent support is on her and we will continue to help the people in need.

My International Lions Convention Experience

I am very proud to represent our very own country in the three Lions international conventions that i attended. Its only this year that the convention was cancelled because of Covid 19. Everything is on hold until all the travel restrictions are lifted. I would admit that i miss travelling but of course i will not take the risk of being infected. Travelling is part of my DNA or my whole system, maybe because of my big mole on my left foot, i believe not. Anyway, i really gained lot of experience and meet new friends when i'm attending our clubs convention. My travel is always a mixture of pleasure, adventure , social service and of course visiting my family and friends.

The side trips are always exciting....
