Send Off Get Together

Last year we are together when we fly to Canada for our yearly vacation, but this year they push thru with their plan amidst Covid 19.  Its because her husband had an eye problem and had to undergo cataract operation. By the way, the day before their flight, we gave her a send off coffee time at Elsie's place. They are now in Canada and had to be quarantined for fourteen days.

Thru Yna, i did send some stuff for my family in Canada and very grateful that they already received it..

I also want to share to you of Janine's recent travel to Vietnam amidst the pandemic. She is the only daughter of hubby Dirk and soon to graduate in her physiotherapy course in Munich next year....

GCQ Bonding with Friends

Under the general community quarantine, get together and mass gatherings are allowed provided its just ten people or less.  Following the safety protocols, we celebrated the 58th birthday of a very good friend Mabel and though we chat in FB, bonding with them  face to face is something else. I also had a tea time with  my other friends at Coffee Beans and Tea Leaf. and we had a wonderful discussion about our lockdown life....

Happy Father's Day!!!

Today, we honor all fathers, dads, papa,  itays, grandpas, stepdads, uncles, father figures etc  in their roles as head of the family and of being the man of the house. The  celebration this year is quite different because of Covid 19 but of course the simplest way is to be with the family.  Happy Father's day also to our God, the Father, to my tatay and papa in heaven and to all wonderful dads out there. This day is dedicated to them for being the silent protector and our guardian.  I also acknowledge today my sons /sons in law who are good fathers to their children for their  contributions, sacrifices and thank them for their unconditional love & unwavering presence.

Lions Donations to Osmun

Yesterday, the Santa Rosa Centennial Lions Club MJF and the Muntinlupa Lions Club MJF conducted a face masks donations to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa in Alabang. Of course we did go there with protective gears like face mask and shields, anyway we just stay there for half an hour. I felt happy giving our shares of helping this government hospital but it was really depressing seeing those non covid patients staying outside the hospital. The lobby is for exlusive use only of the staff, doctors and other medical practitioners so as to protect them from acquiring the virus. Anyway, the covid positive patients are isolated at the back of the hospital in an airconditioned tent and some are in the highest floor of the hospital. My fervent wish is for them to get healed, covid or non covid patients, availability of vacines/medicines, more recoveries /less mortality and heal our country/world.

Visiting my Family

After three months, i was able to see my children, grandkids and doggies again. The lockdown and the enhanced community quarantine prevented me from doing our normal activities and that includes visiting my family in San Pedro. I was also able to dropped by at St. Raymond where Astrid and Buddy is building a house. Slowly, we were already used to the new normal scenario and of course that includes following the safety protocols. As long as there is still no vaccines and medicines available for Covid 19, we should still be very careful, stay at home and protect ourselves.

By the way, i already upgraded our television to smart TV and Dirk was very happy watching his favorite movies on netflix. We were also able to use our rechargeable electric fan because of the frequent brownouts in our area.

Life After Lockdown

We're slowly embracing the new normal  life under the general community quarantine. Though malls and other shops are already open, we are still following the safety protocols which is i think the best for everybody. We are still practicing the stay at  home mode, physical distancing and other safety measures .  I just hope and pray that this pandemic will be over soon but of course it will only happen when vaccines and covid 19 medicines will be available after a successful clinical trial, the big question is when??? So peeps, as much as possible avoid the non essential travel,  crowds, gatherings and boost your immune system to fight this corona virus.

By the way, my room now looks lika an MMDA traffic monitoring center or CCTV control area. Netflix movies is what makes us busy nowadays that i even bought a new television for this.
