The Outside World

At last after more than two months of staying at home because of Covid 19, Dirk finally had a glimpse of the outside world. He was very happy to breath fresh air again and experienced the so-called new normal. Though he like my home cooked meals, he is also very happy for food take outs and deliveries. Anyway, i made him happy today and he is very excited for more shops opening soon.

Our royal doggies, Cha cha and Kingking are also happy to experience again walking in the outside  world with my kiddos/grandkids in San Pedro, Laguna.  I haven;t seen them for almost three months and miss them so much....

Lockdown Update

The enhanced community quarantine ended last May 15 and most of the provinces including our area are now in the new normal mode. Except for metro manila, cebu and laguna, we are now placed into a general community quarantine. This means that malls and other business will be open but with limited workforce, social distancing will still be practiced, wearing mask is a must and limited public transport and other guidelines. The threat of the virus and the flattening of the curve is not yet in there but people should work for a living. I pray that with this new normal, people will be more disciplined so that a second wave will not happen soon.

My ECQ Birthday Celebration

First of all, i thank God for the gift of life, family and good friends. The past year has been very tough especially on my health followed by the eruption of Taal and now the COVID 19. But God is with us through these journey and my birthday wishes is of course improved health and hope this corona virus will soon be over. Anyway, because of the enhanced community quarantine, i just have a very simple celebration at home with just me and Dirk.  Family gatherings and get together with friends are strictly  prohibited under ECQ, so i just distributed food packs as my birthday treat to them. And because i can't celebrate with my family, my daughter Arianne just ordered Jollibee foods for my children and grandkids. I was also touched by the gestures of my daughters for their effort in sending me flowers, cakes and foods for my birthday. I really felt so loved and I'm really thankful to God for giving me a loving and caring children.

Happy Mother's Day

Today we honor all mothers and mother figures for their loving support and unconditional love to their families. I am very happy that my birthday this year falls on mother's day. I thanked all my children, grandchildren, relatives and friends for all their wishes and greetings..

The Family's Frontliners

We acknowledged the modern heroes in these trying times, they are the frontliners who have made our health and safety their first priority and continue to fight in face of Covid 19. Doctors, nurses, health workers, volunteers, policemen, soldiers, barangay officials, food delivery drivers and many more are considered frontliners. To fight this pandemic, we also have family members who are frontliners. They are my sister who works in the nursing home in Germany, my brother in law who is a medical technologist in Stanford University Hospital in California and doing sample tests for the virus, my daughter in law Lyn who works in a government hospital and my nephew Rey who is a Department of Tourism high official and Philippine Navy reservists. Two thumbs up to all of them and everyday, i always included them in my prayers for their safety and protection.

Goodies and More

There is really a small chance that we can travel to Canada because of the Covid 19 and travel ban/restrictions. Thats why my daughter just bought the things we need and send it thru balikbayan boxes. I'm still awaiting for the final cancellation of our flights and hopefully we can rebook it next year. This enhanced community quarantine is taking its toll on all of us but its for the best of everyone,
