Enhanced Community Quarantine

The number of positive cases on Covid 19 is increasing very fast, thrice as much as the persons under investigation/monitoring and even deaths. Its really alarming and i am worried with regards to the safety of my family and friends. To prevent the widespread, our government imposed a lockdown in Luzon that means everyone should stay home unless needed. Only one in the household is allowed to have a quarantine pass for buying necessities. We are really affected but its for the good of everyone. Checkpoints are designated on borders, physical distancing is strictly imposed, window hours for shopping foods, thermal monitoring, no more gatherings, no public transportation, no more tourists allowed to enter, no domestic flights to manila, closures of business establishments and only supermarkets and pharmacies are open. Its good that we have a marketplace nearby to cater to the needs of our village and living nearby. Fast food chains are open only for takeouts and to ease the burden of having no income, we helped our workers by giving them small help and goodies.
I hope and pray for the safety of the frontliners, the doctors, nurses, medical staff and even policemen, barangay tanods and everyone who are imposing the lockdown. Lord please protect my family, relatives, friends and heal those who are infected and the most important contain/stop the virus not only here in the Philippines but in the whole world. We all fervently pray that we will overcome the problem and this too shall pass,

Catching up with Friends

Because of the community quarantine, everybody is advised to stay home to avoid the widespread of Covid19.  But this didn't stopped us from celebrating the birthday of a good friend Luz. We are the only customers in the coffee shop and our laughters overwhelmed the place. After the coffee bean  bonding, we did a small grocery shopping at Marketplace and we noticed few supplies because of the panic buying of the residents in the area.

Back in Manila

President Duterte declared a total lockdown and community quarantine in Metro Manila because of the virus. There will also no air, land and sea travel going to Manila thus our decision to buy a new ticket because rebooking is impossible. He imposed this to avoid and prevent the widespread/contagion of the COVID 19.  The ticket is almost double the price but we don't care because we do not want to be stuck up in Davao for a month. We arrived in Manila in time beating the lockdown deadline.

Two days after arriving in Manila, President Duterte declared a total lockdown for the whole of Luzon. Its really a good decision to return to Manila, thanks to my daughter Astrid who did the booking. This time, malls, restaurants, movie houses and other business will be closed except for fastfoods/restaurants who offered take outs, banks, pharmacies and other business who gives basic services.  People do panic buying and there are no more supply of alcohol and face masks. Some of the medical frontliners are also affected because of limited protective gears. At the moment, my children had no more works because of this virus, my other daughter needs operation because of the broken arm from motorcycle accident but doctors are not available. There are lots of problems but i know God is greater than our problems. HE will take care of everything and soon it will be normal again...

Davao Trip 2020

We flew to Davao to attend the wedding of Francis and Decerie in which i am one of the sponsors. Because of the Corona disease virus 19, the airport is so unusual because of the few travellers. Even our plane is not that full and we arrived safely in Davao. We have a nice hotel and everything seems to be perfect until the couple send FB messages cancelling the wedding. They are devastated because the guests are already booked in the hotel and the flowers are already delivered. The city of Davao ordered the cancellations of all events and mass gatherings, thus the decision. Of course, its for the safety of everyone, the wedding can just be re-scheduled at a later date. This virus already affected a lot of countries and people globally. I know God is in control of everything and it happened for a reason, these too shall pass....

My friends from Germany also came over for the wedding event. Though it was cancelled, we have a short time bonding and  catching up with each other...
