Our New Year Celebrations

We used to celebrate new year together but because my children now has their own families and some are living abroad, the best way to be together is thru the social media. I'm very happy that my children are very close though they are apart from each other. They greet and talk to each other thru video call, thanks really to the new technology.

We celebrated new year just by watching fireworks display in the neighborhood. Due to limited mobility of Dirk, we just stayed at home. Some neighbors are inviting us but we choose to be home on the first tick of 2018. My children in their own way also celebrated new year with foods and fruits on the table for good luck for the coming year.

Its the last day of the year and when the clock ticks at 12 tonight it will be 2018. In terms of travel, this year was a productive one for us. We've been to 5 countries, 3 states in the US and has 3 domestic travels. There are some problems on the way which is normal, an emotional roller coasters ride but in general it was a great year. I thank God for the care, safety, good health and secure in HIS love. May this coming year be filled again with love, happiness, peace and a prosperous life ahead of us. I also thank MAMA MARY for keeping my family safe always and for being there always to guide and help us. And to my Angels and Saints, thank you also for taking care of our home and protecting my family from harm.

by the way, together with our neighbor friends, we had a new year get together last night in our main clubhouse here in southforbes. Foods and drinks overwhelmed and so was the fun ...

Remy's House Blessing

We just came back from Remy's house blessing officiated by Fr. Edgar who is a family friend. It is actually the second housewarming, the first one was without the house fixtures and now its complete. Below is my wishes for her home and some pictures ....

My Christmas

Family and friends are everything when it comes to christmas in the Philippines. A day before christmas, i have a lunchout with my children and grandkids where i gave them my presents. They have to spend christmas eve with their father where they received their cash gifts. Anyway, the Huston family hosted a noche buena for neighbor and friends. My christmas is complete as long as i spend it with family and friends.
