Family Shopping Bonding

I'm happy and proud of my OFW daughters for being so generous with their siblings. Its good that they are following the good deeds that i taught them. As a former overseas worker also, my priorities are my children's needs, education and happiness. By setting a good example, they learn the value of humility and giving back. I know Astrid is also very happy that her siblings is enjoying the fruits of her hardwork and sacrifice. Let the pictures speaks for themselves....

Astrid's Bonding with High School Friends

My daughter is just taking advantage of her short vacation here by travelling and meeting friends. Some of her high school friends visited us here and they really enjoyed the bonding moments. They remained friends for 16 years and waste no time in catching up on each other's lives.

Asparagus

We called that veggie spargel in german and asparagus in english which is dirk's all time favorite. It is a very good source of fiber, folate, vitamins and a seasonal food so we always take advantage when it is available in the store.

Welcome Home Astrid

My daughter Astrid is on a one month vacation here in the Philippines. She takes time off from her work in Qatar to refresh, bond and enjoy summer here with loved ones and classmates. Of course, every vacation she always have something for all of us. With the new technology, she was also able to video chat with her other sisters.

Couple Shirts

Its our first time to have a couple shirts courtesy of Shakeys Solenad. As a regular customers of the restaurant we always received freebies from them. We considered the staff there as our extended family and the food chain our second kitchen...

By the way, Dirk wanted to eat fresh strawberries and cravings satisfied ....

Christ has Risen !!! Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day following his crucifixion. His resurrection marks the triumph of good over evil, sin and death. It is the singular event which proves that those who trust in God and accept Christ will be raised from the dead. Since Easter represents the fulfillment of God's promises to mankind, it is the most important holiday on the Christian calendar. It is also the day that we should renewed our faith, change for the best and put God above everything. By the way, in celebration of the Easter Sunday, the Ayala Malls solenad sponsored an egg hunting for kids.

PBA Player Sonny Thoss

By chance we met some celebrities at Dennys, just like the PBA Alaska Aces player Sonny Thoss. They are sitting next to our table and just curious why some diners are looking in our direction. I dont watch basketball and our waiter confirm that he is a PBA player. Dirk was surprised that he is very tall and asked for photo ops which he agreed. He is friendly and based on my research his father is german. He is with two other Alaska players and their wives. By the way, i only confirm his name by sending his pictures to my son Andrew who are basketball fanatics.

Holy Week

While most people decided to go for a vacation or out of the country during Lenten season, we prefer to just stay at home. The Holy Week is the time to reflect, pray and reminiscing the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Ayala Malls near our place, its very visible the many posters around starting from the Palm sunday and the Stations of the Cross leading to the crucifixion of our Lord in order to save the sins of mankind.
