Get Together with Friends

In our highs and lows of life, real friends stick together. The good memories with them last forever and as we grow older, the more we need them. Last thursday, we have a friends get together at Carmen's place in Appenweier. We arrived at different time because of miscommunication. But anyway, though we missed some of them, we still have a wonderful night of bonding and catching up on each others lives.

Lilia's Birthday Celebration

They say that age is just all in our mind and like a feathers in the broad wing of time. For the past years, i'm always present at Lilia's birthday celebration whether she held it at their modest home or in a restaurant. She's a very good friend who never fail to connect and give complements. She celebrated her special day last saturday in a chinese restaurant in Bühl-Offenburg where we have lots of fun. Belated happy birthday again and wishing you more blessings, good health and more candles to blow.

Easter Monday

Easter Monday (Ostermontag) is an annual public holiday in Germany that follows Easter Sunday, which remembers Jesus Christ's resurrection, according to Christian belief. It is observed with various local customs which includes early morning candle-lit parades, walks in the countryside and egg races. We celebrated the day with the Kriz, our extended family in Lahr. They just return from their vacation in Gran Canaria and the kids were just too happy for their late egg/gift hunting around the house.

I'm extending my heartfel easter good wishes to my family, FB friends, bloggers and readers. Today, Easter sunday celebrates the christian belief of our Lord Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. Many churches hold special services on this day and many families gathered together for a reunion. A lot of people organize easter egg hunting and the children loved it very much. On different occasions we celebrated easter with visiting friends and coffee time with the Deichelbohrer.







By the way here in Germany, a lot of people shopped more food stuff because of the long easter weekend celebrations.

My Daughter's Gift

My daughter Rose Belle posted a message on my Facebook wall...

Mama Tonette Bachmann,this is my Easter, Mothers Day and of course Advance Birthday gift for you all in one, you dont deserve a second hand thats why i bought this just for you...We love you INAY..... This is my daughter's touching message, i told her i don't need material things what is important to me is that she is safe and in good health in the country where they are working. She even told me its payback time but as a parent, its our responsibility to educate our children and leave them two legacies in life--- roots and wings.

Vegetarian Restaurant

I'm not a veggie eater but i joined my friends in the vegetarian restaurant in Offenburg. In the buffet table are different vegetable salads and soups on the other side. I was really surprised by the number of people coming in and going out of the restaurant. It get raves for being fresh, organic and the service is fast and friendly though its a little bit expensive. Though i did not tasted any of their salads, i opted for soup which is superb and match it with organic bread.
