Back in Manila

We left the boracay island yesterday in a very bad weather, its raining hard, dark skies and windy. At the airport, the Cebu Pacific staff is already transferring the passengers on later flights including us for safety reason. But Dirk argued that they already moved our flights three times and we want to retain our schedule. I kept on praying to Mama Mary and Papa Lord to help us. God is really good, its a miracle that the weather turned from bad to sunny weather and clear skies. Thank GOD, we arrived in Manila safely.

Today, we started our day with shopping for our foods, carolling practice and entertaining friends.

Show for a Cause

Our last night in Boracay was spent watching a magic show for a cause at Paradise Garden (formerly OneMGM). America's leading comedy magician Eric Brouman surprised us with his magic and comedy antics. The Boracay talents also participated in the show. I felt like i'm a kid again, even Dirk and all the children enjoyed the show very much. Proceeds of the show goes to Bantay Bata Boracay.

Boracay Market

Its my first time to try the boracay waters yesterday. Dirk was not anymore surprised that most of us cannot swim despite the fact that we're surrounded by waters with 7000plus islands. Anyway, after my swimming or rather just standing in the water, we decided to go to the market to look for Dirk's slipper. Unfortunately the size of his feet is too big that we cannot find one.

Shangrila Boracay

According to their website Shangrila's Boracay Resort and Spa is dramatically situated on a lush hillside within an eco-reserve. It is a spectacular resort offering sensational luxury to its discerning guests. Rich with sprawling grounds and secluded beaches, the resort is a destination all on its own with an impressive variety of restaurants and leisure facilities, including a tranquil spa village.

Yesterday, we did drive there for lunch and to experience the amenities the high end resort offered. Though the price of our lunch there is already equivalent to four meals, its a once in a blue moon experience and its really a nice feeling brushing elbows with the richie rich people.

Lunch at Discovery Shore

Yesterday, dirk and me decided to have lunch at Discovery shores, one of the high-end hotels in boracay. We can't afford to stay there because of the high price but we always have lunch or dinner there. Its really very nice but its only for those who haves and the higher ups of society.
