Thess (Nene) @40
Birthdays is a special day in every person’s life and everyone enjoys moving one step ahead in life. We cherish the old times and look forward for new life experiences and anticipation. They say life begins at forty because we figured out the basic life principles by this age. We also have experienced pleasure and pain, the ups and downs of life and how to handle a busy lifestyle. What is important i think is how you live your life and what you make out of it regardless of age.
Yesterday, Nene as we fondly called her, celebrated her 40th birthday in Kehl with a cowboy-theme party. It was attended by her relatives, friends and colleague at work. As usual like every Filipino party, there are lots of foods, drinks and pinoy delicacies. We know beforehand that there's a live music so we put on our dancing shoes and the best dance moves. Thank goodness filipinos know how to party and its not complete without line dancing which i enjoyed very much.

Our Karlsruhe Adventure
I really planned to turn my eyes from shopping and buy only what is important. But today, we did go to Karlsruhe for a girls day out and shopping spree. By the way, Karlsruhe is a city on the Rhine in Baden Württemberg here in Germany.

We just focused our shopping at Ettlinger Tor because of the limited time. It is an amazingly structured mall which houses 130 shops, coffee shops and restaurant. The unique brightly lit indoor boulevard boasts three lavish levels, offering a variety of fashion outlets, the latest trends and accessories, beauty outlets, bookshops and consumer electronics.

Actually our trip to Karlsruhe is not just for shopping but to enjoy each others company. We really have lots of fun and in a way it helps us to de-stress.

The Kriz in the City
I spend my afternoon today with Mabel, Thomas and their two daughters. The last time i saw them was two months ago. I'm very happy to bond with my extended family here and i really played like a doting granny to the two cuties. We also shopped, browsed and dined at Guglhupf restaurant.
