Tuesday with Lucy

Yesterday, i did drive again to Offenburg to buy some easter presents. I also wanted to use my gutschein at Orsay and Pimkie stores. While choosing at Orsay, i saw Lucy and invited me to have some coffee at a nearby Dolomiti. We have a very nice conversation about lifestyle and travel that we forgot the time. At least i was able to buy easter presents.



Dirk knows that i'm an esprit fanatics so he bought 2 esprit umbrellas online and it also arrived yesterday. It rained in the afternoon but forgot to bring the umbrella.

Monday with Friends

Our climate is changing all the time. Some changes come about naturally as a result of global climatic cycles. Just like today, in the morning its raining and its so sunny in the afternoon. After buying some food stuff at Edeka and Aldi, i then go to Lani's place again for some afternoon bonding with friends.


While the girls are busy, Marites son is busy as well

My Freiburg Adventure

Freiburg im Breisgau is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany located in the extreme south-west of the country. We lived there before when my mother was still alive. My visit was a sort of reminiscing happy moments that transpired there. So join me while i turned back the hands of time, a trip down memory lane.

I missed riding the train and the strassenbahn. My late stepfather used to buy a monthly ticket for my public transport and i used it to travel around small villages around Freiburg. Sometimes my mother and me just ride a strassenbahn without a particular place to go, just to see the nice view.




The Freiburg Münster (church) still draws attraction from tourists. Everytime we're in the city, my mother and me never fails to visit this historic church.





The nice architecture, form of arts, coffee shops and a nice surroundings. These are my favorite spots in Freiburg. The area is near Deutsche Bank where my mother used to have part time maintenance work. I will just browse or sit around there while waiting for my mother's two-hour work.




Of course i miss the shopping center, i haven't been here for 6 years and yesterday i shopped and bond with my cousins and friends who lives in Freiburg.

A Cold Friday

Winter is back, at least only for a day. We experienced a warm weather lately but it wasn't here to stay. Hopefully the temperature will rise back to double digits by next week. Anyway, its still March so don't pack up your winter coats yet.



Though its very cold, the certified rampadora is again in the city having coffee with friends.

Action-Filled Day

The spring just started but as if we have summer yesterday because the temperature rose to 24 degrees. Mabel and me agreed to meet in offenburg for some family bonding. While waiting for Mabel, i saw Anjelica and her cute son. I complemented her for her nice blog and her passion for fashion. Of course, when bloggers meet, there's always photo ops.



Mabel and her two daughters were busy looking for a nice baby clothes when i arrived at Karstadt. But their assortment for babies are limited so we settled on buying toys. While browsing around we saw Virgie, a very good friend of mine.




We then have lunch at Karstadt restaurant and continue shopping at C&A where Mabel's husband Thomas picked them up. It's a short bonding time but its wonderful to be with them.






I then shopped at Edeka for some food stuff and proceeded to Lani's place for another girly activities with other friends.

Facebook in Midlife

When we reach 40 plus, we might experience an internal change that will have either a positive or negative outcome. Any crisis is an opportunity for growth. If a person has no outside interest, no career and nothing to fulfill dreams, he/she is in danger of going through a midlife crisis. For me, midlife is a positive time in my life. Reaching a certain age that ends with zero and counting the number of candles in our cake is not an indicator for entering the midlife transition. Though at forty is the beginning of midlife and stressful events, it can be denied but we cannot escaped it. This is also related to a joke circulating in the web that womens problem starts with Men, its up for you to agree or disagree.


It’s good that there’s Facebook that makes me busy and ease boredoms. It helps me for a while to forget the many symptoms women experience at my age. It’s the most popular social network available on the internet right now and millions of users worldwide uses this service to connect to family and friends. It also have many available applications and games which you can play and use completely for free. I don’t need at all the plasters, menopause cream, hormonal pills and the regular visit to doctors, what I need is a computer and a password. Everybody young and old are benefited from this new technology.



Midlife is a new beginning, a chance to start over, a time to pursue your dreams and a time to enjoy being a farmer in Farmville and a builder of your own city.



And the everyday conversations nows goes like this...

Dirk: How's your farm, did you buy the tractor?
ME : No, i want to plow and harvest manually besides i'm saving
my money to buy a farmhouse

BFF Joy: Why are you in a hurry to go home, you don't have any kid
waiting?
ME : My farm is waiting for me, i still have to harvest my
squash and rice and buy new seeds
BFF Joy: Is the market still open? (she's not a facebook user)

And the telephone conversation with my grandson...

ME : Hello Kim, what's your level now in farmville? (instead of asking
him his achievement from the schoolyear that just ended)
KIM : Mama Lola, i am now in Level 40 and you?
ME : Level 20 (OMG, my grandchildren are better than me)

We arrived a day earlier for Janine's confirmation last sunday and we have the whole saturday to shop and browse the town of Heilbronn. I was fascinated by the city's architecture and other form of arts. The pictures here speaks a thousand words.
